In 2015, Monique started Translation Agency Transferendi together with her husband. For nine years now, they have been known for high-quality translations at competitive rates. Together with her son, who recently joined the team, Monique works hard every day to establish Transferendi as a reliable player in the translation market and as an organisation that constantly strives for innovation and improvement.

High standards

At Transferendi, everything is about quality. Monique stresses that the translators they work with are all native speakers. "Our translators are spread all over the world. They live and work in the country they come from. We are enormously satisfied with the quality they deliver. They master the language perfectly because it is their mother tongue. They also understand the cultural nuances, something that is hugely important in translations." Before translators start working for Transferendi, they are checked if they have enough knowledge of certain topics. Transferendi works with ISO certification; this means that every translation meets strict quality standards. The translators are therefore honest about their expertise. "They indicate when they do not have enough knowledge of a particular subject. Then we give the translation to someone who does have the right knowledge to translate the document perfectly. That way, we continue to guarantee high quality."

Fresh breeze

Despite the success, Monique continues to look for ways to improve Transferendi. A key step is revamping the online presence. "It was time for something new and I had a clear idea of how I wanted it. Together with CleverMellow Collective, I worked out my vision. The new website and social media reflect the quality and professionalism we as Transferendi stand for." Monique added: ‘I want to keep innovating.’ The new focus will be on technical and legal translations, an area in which Transferendi is rock solid. The emphasis here is not only on competitive rates, but above all on the outstanding quality the agency delivers.

Looking to the future

Monique is excited about the future of Transferendi. She sees potential in integrating technologies such as AI, but is currently sceptical about quality. ‘I cannot yet find an AI that can deliver translations that we consider good enough quality,’ she says. Nevertheless, she keeps an eye on all developments and offers clients the option of having AI-translated documents edited by her team, at a reduced rate. With dedication to quality and a lot of innovation, Monique is determined to continue Transferendi successfully for many years to come. She wants to leave her own mark on the company and the market. "We work on Transferendi every day with undiminished passion. I would like to continue this for many more years, but in my own way. I am looking forward to that immensely."
